Introduction
The Three Jewels hosts free Asian Classics Institute (ACI) courses developed by Geshe Michael Roach, daily meditation as well as guest teachers in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and other spiritual traditions.

Meditation Sessions
The Three Jewels considers this one of its most important programs, offering members of the community a helpful boost to their day. Midday meditations are designed to help focus the mind to stay motivated through the rest of their day and evening meditations help to quiet the mind, reduce stress and bring a compassionate spirit to their endeavors. The sessions are designed to introduce new students to meditation with an emphasis on meditation preliminaries and easy visualizations.
Guided meditations are offered from 8 - 9 am Monday through Friday,
coordinated by Jennifer MacFarlanne. This is a drop-in class; beginners are welcome. Wear comfortable clothing. Mats/seating provided. Questions are encouraged!

Venerable Phuntsok leads weekly guided meditations every Friday evening at 7:00pm, held at 61 Fourth Ave, 3rd Floor. Study the art of meditation with an accomplished meditator and teacher. Venerable Phuntsok guides you through the traditional Preliminaries, explains the meditation and the object of focus, and then leads you through a session to learn the practice. The class is open to all levels of practitioners who wish to have a deeper understanding of Tibetan Buddhist meditations and develop a strong practice. Donations are encouraged.

Theory and Practice
Meditation sessions at The Three Jewels are based on several types of Tibetan meditation practice. These forms of meditation above all include Tong Len. Many of these meditations emphasize the importance of giving love and needs and taking others suffering. Other meditation practices that are taught include Mahamudra and Heart Sutra meditations, which examines the nature of mind and objects.
Meditations are led by volunteer teachers, using traditional practices such as Tong Len (Taking Suffering/Giving Joy) to structure compelling contemplations on how to live more fully each day and find meaning and satisfaction in life. The sessions are designed to introduce people to meditation with an emphasis on meditation preliminaries and easy visualizations.
