Join Amanda Gilbert in celebration of Kindness Now. Amanda's debut book on how to live with authenticity, intention and compassion through the traditional Buddhist heart practices known as the Brahma-Viharas - Loving-Kindness, Compassion, Appreciative Joy, and Equanimity.

During the Kindness Now Book Tour Event, Amanda will share these essential teachings for any successful meditation practice, along with meditations from the book. Three Jewels president, Hector Marcel and Buddhist meditation teacher and author, Lodro Rinzler, will be in conversation with Amanda on the importance of kindness, so come ready to celebrate and meditate! Then stay for a book signing!

Amanda Gilbert is a meditation teacher, lecturer of mindfulness at the University of Southern California, and author of Kindness Now: A 28-Day Guide to Living with Authenticity, Intention, and Compassion. She has been a meditator for over seventeen years and is a leading voice in modern meditation and secular buddhism. 

Before dedicating herself to teaching full-time, Amanda was the center director for the Aging, Metabolism, and Emotions Center at the University of California, San Francisco, a world-renowned health psychology laboratory conducting scientific research and publishing investigations on the biological and psychological effects of mindfulness, meditation, and stress resilience. Today, she teaches mindfulness meditation at her weekly online sitting group, at YouTube, Paramount Picture, and NBC, and writes about kindness, heart practice and mindful living for a new generation of meditators.

Lodro Rinzler is the author of six meditation books including The Buddha Walks into a Bar and Love Hurts: Buddhist Advice for the Heartbroken and the co-founder of MNDFL meditation studios in New York City. His books Walk Like a Buddha and The Buddha Walks into the Office both have received Independent Publisher Book Awards. He has taught meditation for twenty years in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition and travels frequently for his books, having spoken across the world at conferences, universities, and businesses as diverse as Google, Harvard University and the White House. Named one of 50 Innovators Shaping the Future of Wellness by SONIMA, Rinzler's work has been featured in The New York Times,The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, Good Morning America, CBS, and NBC. He studies with and receives guidance from teachers in the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism and lives in upstate New York with his wife Adreanna and a swarm of furry beings.

Hector Marcel has been studying and practicing Tibetan Buddhism for 20 years. He is a passionate organizational change management consultant helping executives drive transformational change in their organizations through an emphasis on culture, people and service. He is a master teacher of meditation and eastern philosophy, linking ancient Asian ideas to modern western systems for individuals and teams. Hector serves on the board of the Asian Classics Institute, he is the director of the 108 Lives Project and is the president of Three Jewels (the Enlightenment Studio), a New York based studio dedicated to help people reach their highest potential through meditation, yoga, public talks and community outreach. He believes that meditation opens the door to every personal achievement. Hector is treasured by his students for his immense kindness, humor, and generous wisdom.
