Navigating family dynamics, old wounds, and high expectations can make holidays extremely challenging — even when you’re in therapy, on meds, exercising, and all is well.
Buddhism is cool because it’s the thing you can use when you’re hiding in your childhood bedroom, crying because your mom triggered you again. It’s not another thing you have to “do.” It’s just a way to think. And it helps you figure out how to be the person who enjoys family time and holiday time — yes, even with your weird, dysfunctional family. Expect: classical Buddhist techniques to shift identities, and mini meditation. Join us afterwards for an hour of soup and cozy conversation.
All GOOD SOUP FRIDAYS are donation-based and support our end-of-year fundraiser.
